Sunday afternoon: Lilly Pulitzer

What is a better way to spend your Sunday than to kick around leaves in Central Park, sip hot cocoa at a sidewalk café, take pictures of the fall foliage - and dress in Lilly Pulitzer?

My absence from Blogspot during the last couple of days is all a result of too much work, too many cocktail nights with friends, too many hours logged in the gym to make up for said nights out, too many bad excuses. And today the weather is simply too beautiful to watch from my desk by the window - i. e. where I usually write my blogs.

I bought this Lilly crochet piece in one of my favorite consignment shops last summer, and wore it sporadically throughout the fall and winter. After donning it at an audition as Angelina J's photo double, and getting the job (not to to mention losing it after a couple of weeks, reason being we are not similar enough), I truly believe it possesses some kind of super power and that good things will happen if I just wear it a little more often. A girl can dream, right?

Central Park is waiting. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday!

  16. crunching leaves in the autumnal air in central park wearing big woolen coats followed by a hot cocoa in a sidewalk cafe sounds like an amazing sunday. I love being outside in autumn and then ending the day by warming up in a warm and welcoming room with friends x

  17. Hahah... well, the job was mostly for hands and arms, and she has quite big paws! I think they must have tried out about 20 replacements before they gave up!

  18. Love the crochet top! And you definitely should enjoy as much of the lovely Fall weather as possible. Really enjoyed your last post as well by the way... couldn't agree more, especially as my job has no dress code and if I turned up wearing a suit, they'd think I have a job interview elsewhere ;-)

P.S. Also agree with you about celebrities on the cover of magazines. It's such a shame so many fashion mags have replaced them with models.

  20. That top is just utterly divine - I especially love the ribbon cinching the waist. The entire piece is so feminine and dainty. Despite the Angelina mishap, I think you're right - such accoutrement does signify good luck. Hope you enjoyed Central Park, darling! :)
